Sheriff Street reaches quarter final of SARI's Football for Unity festival

The Street Kings football team

Our 'Street Kings' soccer team had a smashing win against the 'Intercultural Ambassadors' in the Football for Unity tournament - we're too modest to give the score!  This brought them to quarter final glory. Sadly they got knocked out by their quarter final opponents, but there's always next year.

The 7-a-side football tournament was organised by Sport Against Racism  Ireland (SARI).  The Football for Unity festival is taking place in venues across the NEIC and will end on Friday 16th July.

Six learners representing Sheriff Street lined up for the 'Street Kings'. Five are on our current Local Training Initiative (LTI) Sports and Recreation course. The sixth player successfully completed the course last year.

Well done lads - great job.  We're really proud of you!
