Here's Ann and Ellen (L/R) on our Garden Club trip to the Botanic Gardens this Thursday. Margaret, Patricia and Lily also came along and were just as happy. Sadly Christine and Bridget couldn't join us.
The sun shone as we strolled by the Tolka, admired the plants and met a few cheeky squirrels! We got great tips about caring for roses, thanks to a helpful gardener and Ellen herself, who also named many of the flowers. Afterwards we had scones, croissants and teas in the Serenity Garden. It was a great way to finish our visit.
Our gardening guide John and his lovely partner, Áine, joined us, as did Thomas our community bus driver. Thanks again to DCC for funding this really enjoyable trip.
