Knit & Sew club do their bit for Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin

Knit & Sew ladies with their Temple Street gifts

The ladies in our Knit & Sew club have been super busy.  They have just knitted an amazing 34 hats and 25 blankets for little ones attending Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin.  The children are aged 0-4 years and these hand-made items are a simple but lovely gift for their worried parents.  Josephine Henry of Dublin City Community Co-op kindly set up the link with the hospital and organised the wool, patterns, etc. It's safe to say she was stunned by quality and number of items the ladies knitted in such a short time.

DCCC and North Wall CDP have just secured another welcome grant from the NEIC to get more wool.  The ladies might take a rest first, but they'll be flying again in no time!  Here are the ladies with their work, starting with Lily.  A massive thank you and well done to you all!
