Summer is massive in our Little Treasures Community crèche. The children enjoy special outings, trips to the park and relaxing, sunny play. This year, 20 children in our pre-school class are also nearing the end of the Ready Steady School program.
The eight-week program helps ease their transition to primary school through regular trips to ‘Big School’ (St. Laurence O’Toole’s, Seville Place) and activities based on the Aistear and Síolta curricula. Other activities include art sessions, themed play and weekly swim classes at the Belvedere College S.J. pool (see next story).
This class will graduate on Wednesday 2nd August. We will be sad to see them go, but very happy to see the children so confident and well prepared for the next stage in their lives. Big School here they come!
