A visit from Mary Lou McDonald

Our QQI 4 Level and QQI Level 5 students had a special visitor on Monday (25th of March) it was the President of Sinn Féin’s Mary Lou McDonald. McDonald's visit inspired students, encouraging them to actively participate in the political process and advocate for positive change in their communities. Her impassioned plea for youth involvement in shaping Ireland's future resonated deeply, igniting a sense of empowerment and responsibility among the audience.

The first documented celebration occurred on February 28, 1909, in New York City. A few years later on March 19, 1911, the first International Women's Day garnered participation from over a million individuals in Austria-Hungary, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland.

Graduation 2023

It's Graduation time at Little Treasures Community Crèche, North Wall CDP.  It took place today, Wednesday 2nd August 2023 at 11am in St. Laurence O'Toole Recreation Centre. This year we have 19 children in the Graduation Class. We'd like to thank the staff for their hard work with the group, helping them to prepare for the Big Day. We wish the children good luck for their new start in September.

The Little Treasures Crèche will reopen on Thursday 10th August.

Growing our Own Compost

At last - a composter in our community garden.  The children in Little Treasures community crèche are eating even more fresh vegetables and fruit than before, thanks to North Wall CDP's inclusion in the Hot Meals pilot.  The composter will help dispose of peelings and reduce bin charges.  It will also supply rich, home-made  compost for our gardening ladies.
